About DAV-One

After leaving Plymouth University in 2008 I returned to Jersey to start my journey as a motion graphics designer. I worked for Spike Productions for 6 years, including a 6 month secondment in Dubai.

In 2014 Spike was part of a MBO. PBS Broadcast (PBS Media in its inception), worked within the corporate environment, but the companies main focus was on broadcast programming, mainly travel shows.

DAV-One came to life on April Fool’s day in 2017. I have used all my skills from my previous 9 years to start my freelance journey, as well as learning many more since DAV-One started. Being a freelancer has allowed me to work closer with clients as well as various agencies across Great Britain, whilst giving me more time to develop my skills in motion graphics.

Outside of work I am a keen, runner, swimmer, kayaker, and am constantly looking for an adventure. I love new challenges, watching films, and following football and rugby.

Services

My specialty is developing 2D and 3D animation from initial concept to final delivery. I am happy to develop products with clients from one word, working closely through every stage including concept design, scripting, storyboarding, initial design, animation and delivering them for almost every requirement.

Working within production companies and design agencies has given me the ability to offer other services such as filming, editing, and some design services. However with these services I normally work in collaboration alongside people who I spent much of my career with.

For these I work within the Adobe Creative suite, specialising in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and InDesign, using Cinema 4D for 3D design.
